Who We Are
Hi Fellow Worldschoolers!
We are a worldschooling family of four who love traveling, learning about other cultures, and doing our best to make the world a better place. Our journey started in Germany, and has taken us on a whirlwind adventure through 31 countries and 34 states…and counting! What started out with just our little Sarah Belle, has since added our little boy, Adrian, and rescue pup, Snickers. We are not a nomadic family, as many other worldschoolers are. Rather, we base wherever either Amanda or Michael are doing school, and travel for extended periods of the year. Slow travel is where it’s at!
This is an important distinction, in our opinion, because we believe worldschooling isn’t exclusive to those traveling constantly, but is a form of alternative education that we can all enjoy. We are all in the world…what makes you a worldschooler is if you approach your surroundings with curiosity and an open mind.

Join the FamilyAs serial entrepreneurs, we have taken on multiple endeavors including Novel Excursion Travel, World Family Project, Michael Camarillo Books, various other projects, and, now, Worldschooling Junction. At the heart of our work is a desire to change the world one nameless stranger at a time by bridging cultures through travel, education, and service. This is how we conceptualize it:

We believe every person has the power to affect global change. Understanding that behavioral change is a slow and daunting process, we look to the future through the eyes of the next generation. We seek to foster an environment of curiosity and selflessness through immersive experience and global interactions. This can be done through:
